While You Breathe
WHILE YOU BREATHE
While you breathe, the world sleep
And the sun burns, and the nights’ creep
Yet it seems like nothing is in their right places
And your red heart turns blue with time
Then your loud voice sublimes while you sink
And you fall down, and death winks
And these red roses drive you through pain and disgust
And the walls of your belief crumble to dust
There in your heart is a place
Built from an iota of vanity
You steal through all the paths of this world
And nearer you are drawn into its crevices
We are going, the choir sings
Not even Heaven knows where you go
You are a mouse trapped in a mouse hole
Filled with the tears of a slave
You are too scared to pray
Because the world cough and sneeze
While their temperature rise
They burn the remnants of your peace
Oh how sudden!
That you crush your faith in the Most High
Oh how sudden!
That you forsake the souls that fade into ghost life
Babylon burns you, tries to bend you
Do you feel forsaken by God –
Who saved you from all doom?
Who cared while in the womb of He that birthed you?
Gird up your loins, decorated soldier!
Stand up, for the watch is on!
You are the sun
So let your glory shine!
Stand up, let time bow to your God!
Let all death's shadows fade in a wink
Bury your grievances
See victory come, see; create the link
Rise up, the mountains do seem great
But they are just a heap of sand and rocks
Know you are made of something greater –
The Blood of Christ, which weathers every rock!
While you breathe, the Abyss deepen
Is there more time, or we are just sleeping?
Very deep ๐. Beautiful piece ๐
